Volunteer Opportunities

WEE Farm is currently seeking volunteers with practical skills and hands-on experience to help maintain and improve our farm and learning spaces. At this time, we are not accepting new volunteers for routine animal care or feeding duties.

We are especially looking for individuals with experience in:

• Carpentry and construction
• Mechanics and equipment repair
• Gardening and horticulture
• Lawn care and landscaping
• Forestry and arboriculture
• Skilled trades and general maintenance
• Building, fencing, and infrastructure projects

Volunteers should be comfortable with physical outdoor work and willing to contribute their expertise to meaningful projects that directly support our mission. Whether you're a carpenter, mechanic, gardener, landscaper, arborist, or simply someone with practical skills and a strong work ethic, we'd love to hear from you.

Garden Crew

WEE Farm has a fully fenced 1/3 acre garden plot that we are using to cultivate and harvest fresh farm produce and most importantly provide garden education!  We are looking for volunteers to help with palnting, harvest, weeding, rake and till.   If you have the experience and time, we would love to work with you and utilize our green thumbs together!

Garden tasks may include:

  • Spring clean-up and plant bed prep
  • Planting seeds, dividing and transplanting perennials
  • Maintaining signage
  • Harvesting crops
  • Weeding, mulching, and watering
  • Closing the gardens. in the fall

Fundraising and Events Crew

Do you have experience planning events and group activities?  We would welcome your experience and time with open arms!

For those interested in behind the scenes work, our fundraising committee has a variety of opportunities. The fundraising committee meets as needed to discuss projects with most work being done remotely. Fundraising committee tasks may include:

  • Assist with donor management projects
  • Seek sponsorships and donations
  • Assist with advertising campaigns
  • Plan and execute events

Maintenance Crew

Do you have a knack for fixing or repairing?  Do you have machine knowledge?  Do you have carpentry experience?  WEE Farm has a lot of moving parts (literatively and figuratively) and we are in need of volunteers that could stop by the farm from time-to-time to help with...

  • Hammering/Sawing
  • Grinding
  • Building Pens
  • General Repairs
  • Electrical work
  • Growing up on a farm, or familiarity with farm equipemnt is a bonus!
  •  Please reach out if you or anyone you know could be of assistance.

WEE Farm is a great place to volunteer as an individual, family, or group!

After you’ve completed the online application, our volunteer coordinator will be in touch.
